This drawing of the Red River Revival Maple Tree. It was inspired by a man named Ray Hughes that I befriended ; who revived the wood of an old forgotten maple tree that stood amongst many who shaped the atmosphere of Christianity in America. He shapes the wood into finely crafted pens and pencils of which I used to create this drawing. The perspective is from the bottom looking upward so the viewer can get a glimpse of the golden maple leaves which live to essentially die off each year before the cold of winter. Its amazing to me how the words and visions this tree heard and saw throughout the years, will be carried on by the scribes and artists that will hold these pens and pencils.
